Placement criteria

Read this part first.

Most housing pages bury who they can't serve. We put it at the top, because a placement that fails in week two costs your client more than a "no" today.

A good fit for adults who:

  • Are independent with daily living and personal care — bathing, dressing, moving around the home
  • Self-administer any medication they take
  • Have verifiable income — employment, SSI/SSDI, VA benefits, a representative payee, or private pay
  • Can live respectfully in a shared, substance-free household
  • Want a stable address to build from — work, benefits, reunification, school

Referrals come from hospital discharge planners, community mental-health case managers, VA housing navigators, reentry programs, and families.

Not the right placement for:

  • Anyone needing assistance with activities of daily living
  • Anyone requiring nursing care, supervision, or medication administration
  • Anyone who needs an awake overnight staff presence
  • Anyone whose care plan requires a licensed adult foster care setting

If your client needs licensed care, tell us anyway. We will say so plainly and point you toward providers who can take the referral.

What's included

Everything a person needs on day one.

Residents arrive with a bag, not a moving truck. The room is furnished, the utilities are on, and the household is already running.

  • Furnished rooms

Bed, linens, dresser and lamp in every room

  • Personal closet and storage

Each resident's belongings stay their own

  • Full kitchen access

    Stove, refrigerator, microwave, assigned storage

  • On-site laundry

Washer and dryer in the home, no laundromat runs

  • High-speed Wi-Fi

For job applications, telehealth and staying in touch

  • Living room with Netflix

A real common space, not a waiting area

  • All utilities included

Heat, electric, water and trash, one flat rate

  • Household supplies and upkeep

Paper goods, cleaning supplies, regular maintenance

  • Mail delivered to the home

A real address for benefits, work and ID

Clear about what isn't included

Residents shop for and prepare their own food in the shared kitchen, manage their own medication, and arrange their own transportation. No personal care, nursing, or supervision is provided.

The home

A house on a street, not a bed in a facility.

Single-family homes in quiet residential neighborhoods, kept to one standard and managed by a team that answers the phone.

Private room

1 per home
  • A room to yourself, furnished
  • Own closet and personal storage
  • Door key, and quiet hours respected
  • Full access to every shared space

Semi-private room

2 per home
  • Shared with one roommate, matched intentionally
  • Separate bed, dresser and closet for each resident
  • Lower rate, same full access to the home
  • Roommate changes handled by the house manager

Shared living room, kitchen and dining area, laundry room, bathroom, porch and yard — cleaned on a rotation and maintained by the management team.

  1. 01

A written house agreement. Every resident signs it at move-in, and it says the same thing in every home.

  2. 02

Substance-free household. Guests by arrangement, and quiet hours everyone actually keeps.

  3. 03

Shared-space expectations. A chore rotation, assigned kitchen storage, and a standard for common areas.

  4. 04

Regular property checks. Maintenance handled promptly, not when someone gets around to it.

  5. 05

A named contact for you. One person who knows your client's file — not a general voicemail box.
